About Us
Background:
“Tapestry” is a student initiative launched in 2022 by Temasek Poly's Student Development and Alumni Affairs (SDAA/Arts). It serves as a platform for student-artistes to develop capabilities in project management, creative direction, interpersonal communication, collaboration, and community service.
AY 22/23 saw two editions of Tapestry - Tapestry: MOVE and Tapestry: MELODY. Tapestry: MOVE featured all of Temasek Arts Centre’s Dance groups and Tapestry: MELODY featured all Music groups.
This year, "Tapestry: Our Canvas", will involve all Arts groups as well as our 2 service groups - Digital Media & Production Crew and TP Emcees. The theme of the inaugural festival is ‘Our Canvas’, which seeks to provide a blank slate for all to contribute and build upon.
The festival will also feature masterclasses, workshops and satellite performances. Aiming to provide learning opportunities to not only the Arts students, but also for students, staff and the Temasek Community. In looking to promote campus vibrancy, the Temasek Arts Centre looks forward to creating a porous campus where all are welcome and accepted.
